Campaign Finance Report: Phil Sweeney reported that Bill Corbett, former Chairman of MDTC, is a defendant in a complaint filed in Superior Court by the Attorney General of Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Office of Campaign and Political Finance. The complaint asserts that Corbett failed to file a campaign finance report for the MDT in 2006 with the Office of Campaign and Political Finance. The AG’s office contacted Phil Sweeney and asked if he could help straighten this matter out.
Phil Sweeney reported that there is no record of our finances in 2006. He is working on straightening it out.
We do have $2,700 in the bank right now.Reminder: If you have not paid your dues, please give your check of $15 to Jon Jennings.
Website update: The site is being worked on.
Guest Speaker:
Finally, our guest speaker, Michael Goldman, addressed the committee.
He spoke for almost two hours, and everyone seemed enthralled by his
talk. He spoke about presidential history, campaign tactics, and many
other interesting topics.
Michael was very optimistic that we will have a victory in the 2008
Presidential Campaign.
